Atlanta Hawks center Al Horford will dictate the center market in 2016 NBA free agency. Here are five teams that are not ideal fits for the All-Star center.

One of the biggest free agents to hit the unrestricted market this summer is four-time NBA All-Star center for the Atlanta Hawks Al Horford. Horford has been largely a top 30 player for his entire nine-year NBA career with the Hawks since Atlanta drafted him No. 3 overall in the 2007 NBA Draft out of the University of Florida.

Horford is a fantastic big man in any area of the NBA. He can anchor a defense as an undersized center. His offensive game is one of the smoothest of NBA centers, being able to sink impressive set shots from both the mid-range and beyond the three-point arc, to having the ideal lateral quickness to shake even the game’s best rim protectors in the low post.

While it makes a great deal of sense for the Hawks center to re-up with Atlanta in 2016 NBA free agency, to presumably sign a five-year maximum salary to stay in with the Hawks trough the 2020-21 NBA season, this is the first time Horford will get to test unrestricted free agency as a high-end player.

Given that almost every team would want a player of Horford’s caliber in their front court, he will get the max offer sheet by several teams outside of Atlanta this July. However, he does need to proceed with caution in free agency, to see if he’ll really leave a good situation in Atlanta for a bad one involving more money. Here are the five worst fits for Horford in 2016 NBA free agency.
