Chandler Parsons thinks he deserves max deal
Chandler Parsons took to Twitter to discuss his contract situation.
On Tuesday morning Dallas Mavericks forward and free agent to-be Chandler Parsons engaged in a Twitter Q&A while waiting for a flight to Los Angeles and did not shy away from any topic.
When the conversation moved to his impending free agency and potential contract, the 27-year-old did not mince words, making his feelings on the situation very clear.
When asked by a follower why he recently turned down a $16 million player option in search of a max contract, Parsons responded:

Parsons’ promising career as a stretch forward seemed to be blossoming while he was in Houston, but after leaving for Dallas in the summer of 2014, multiple knee injuries cut both of his last two seasons short.
However, the confident Parsons is not overly concerned, saying he deserves a max deal even with his serious injury past:

Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban is always a major player in free agency and isn’t afraid to spend on a big-name free agent. However, all signs indicate the Mavs will move on from Parsons. Instead, Cuban will likely attempt to recruit Mike Conley, Hassan Whiteside or even Kevin Durant in an effort to win another title as Dirk Nowitzki enters the twilight of his career.
