Free agency is set to begin in the NBA on July 1, and several top players around the league are going to be available.

With the salary cap spike reaching $94 million, a majority of players that had the chance to opt out of their deals have done so, which should create for one of the craziest free agent periods we have ever seen.

While Kevin Durant is the big fish that everyone will be trying to catch, the other big fish in free agency is Al Horford. The big man is set to command a max contract in free agency and he could very well be the final piece that pushes a contender over the top.

While Horford isn’t going to be the guy that leads a team to a deep playoff run by himself, if he is slotted with a good team with superstars, then his inclusion makes all the difference on the court wherever he ends up next.

He doesn’t have one standout skill set that separates him like the rest of the superstars in the league, but he’s so versatile and good at many things, it makes him one of the best big men in basketball.

With Horford being an exceptional big man that’s available, these five teams would be the best fit for him.
