NBA Rumors: Dwyane Wade open to listening to other offers
According to a report, Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is open to listening to outside offers.
This is the time of the year when NBA rumors ramp up. With NBA Free Agency approaching, teams are scheduling visits with top stars such as Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki and others, but one name might become more prominent over the next few weeks.
According to ESPN‘s Brian Windhorst, Dwyane Wade is open to listening to outside offers after talks with the Miami Heat have reportedly stalled. Sources have told Windhorst that Wade’s camp has told teams he will become available once free agency hits.
It would be weird to see Wade suit up in another team’s uniform as he’s been with the Miami Heat his entire 13-year career, averaging 23.7 points, 5.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game.
The fifth overall pick from the 2003 NBA Draft has won three NBA titles with the Heat, he’s been named an All-Star 12 times and is a defensive specialist as well. He will be one of the most highly sought-after players in free agency if Windhorst’s sources are correct.
Wade, 34, is getting up there in age, but he’s still coming off an All-Star caliber season in which he put up 19 points, 4.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game. Health has been an issue over his career, but he is still one of the league’s top guards.
Although LeBron James has said that he has no plans of becoming a free agent this summer, could he and Wade be talking about possibly reuniting?
