Identifying the top high salary and value catcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 29 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Jonathan Lucroy, Brewers (4,500): After a three-game hitless streak, Lucroy has put together consecutive two-hit outings. The 30-year-old is putting together one of the best seasons of his career, hitting .302 with 10 home runs and 38 RBIs, all totals that rank among the leaders for catchers. He’ll face Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Brock Stewart, who will be making his major league debut on Wednesday.

Brian McCann, Yankees (4,100): McCann has had a disappointing season, there’s no denying that. But it’s also worth noting that he’s one of only five catchers in the majors with at least 10 home runs. Five of those home runs have come at Yankee Stadium, where McCann is hitting .241. He’s worth a look Wednesday against Texas Rangers righty Nick Martinez (1-1, 5.54 ERA).

High Value

Stephen Vogt, Athletics (3,400): Vogt has had a strong series so far against the San Francisco Giants, going a combined 3-for-8 with two doubles and 31 DraftKings points. Oakland faces veteran right-hander Jake Peavy (4-6, 5.22 ERA) on Wednesday. Vogt is hitting .288 against righties this season, so he’s a reasonable play.

Chris Herrmann, Diamondbacks (3,400): Herrmann’s playing time fluctuates, but when he’s in the lineup, he usually performs. He’s hit safely in his last six starts and seven of his last eight starts overall. Herrmann is hitting .275 with five of his six home runs against righties this season. He’s a solid play against Philadelphia rookie Zach Eflin (0-2, 6.28 ERA).
