Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 29 DraftKings lineup.
Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.
As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.
High Salary
Charlie Blackmon, Rockies (5,400): Blackmon has been a hitting machine over the past nine games, tallying 17 total hits, including five home runs. He’s hitting .311 against right-handers, and an even more impressive .328 at Coors Field this season. Toronto Blue Jays starter Aaron Sanchez (7-1, 3.24 ERA) has had a nice season, but Wednesday’s matchup favors Blackmon and the Rockies’ bats.
Mike Trout, Angels (4,800): Trout is red-hot, having collected 14 hits over his current six-game hitting streak. He’s reached double digits in fantasy points in five straight games, and has three home runs over his last four games. He’s also had considerable head-to-head success against Houston Astros lefty Dallas Keuchel (11-for-34, two HRs). All signs point toward Trout having another big game on Wednesday.
High Value
Tyler Naquin, Indians (3,900): Naquin has been a solid addition to a surprisingly potent Cleveland lineup this season. He’s hitting .325 overall through his first 48 major league games, and .321 against right-handers. Cleveland draws a matchup with Atlanta Braves right-hander Joel De La Cruz, who will be making his first career start on Wednesday.
Yoenis Cespedes, Mets (3,600): Cespedes is probably best option as a GPP play, if only for his matchup with Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer. But the New York slugger has had limited success against the hard-throwing Scherzer in the past. Cespedes is 3-for-11 with a double and home run against Scherzer. For a heavily-discounted price, Cespedes is worth a look.
