Identifying the top high salary and value pitcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 29 DraftKings lineup.
Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.
As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.
High Salary
Max Scherzer, Nationals (13,500): Scherzer is almost always going to be the top pitcher on the board when he starts, but that’s especially true on Wednesday. It is just a bad, bad day for pitchers. You almost have to pay up for Scherzer, especially in cash lineups. He shouldn’t disappoint, though. He has double-digit strikeouts in four of his last five starts, and should have success against the New York Mets.
Danny Salazar, Indians (12,200): Salazar is the second-most expensive pitcher on the board Wednesday, but like Scherzer, he seems worth it. He’s reached at least 25 fantasy points in three of his last four starts. On Wednesday, he draws a road matchup with the last-place Atlanta Braves.
High Value
Carlos Martinez, Cardinals (9,200): Martinez isn’t exactly cheap, but again, this is a day that you’ll probably want to pay up for pitching. The low-cost options are just not appealing. Martinez doesn’t have major strikeout potential, but he’s on a nice run, having scored at least 20 fantasy points in four of his last five starts. He should keep the momentum going Wednesday against Kansas City.
Archie Bradley, Diamondbacks (8,500): Bradley has been a bit up and down of late, something that’s to be expected of a young pitcher. However, in his last start against Philadelphia two weekends ago, Bradley was sharp (6 IP, 5 Ks, 0 ER, 24.50 DK points). Now he faces the Phillies again, this time in Arizona.
