Identifying the top high salary and value third baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 29 DraftKings lineup.
Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.
As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.
High Salary
Josh Donaldson, Blue Jays (5,500): You’re putting the reigning American League MVP in a hitter’s dream like Coors Field, against a young left-handed pitcher? It’s almost unfair. Donaldson is the top-priced third baseman on Wednesday for a reason. He’s crushed lefties this season (.342) and he already has 28 fantasy points through the first two games of the series.
Jake Lamb, Diamondbacks (5,200): This might sound like a broken record at this point, but Lamb is virtually a must-start against right-handed pitching. He’s hitting .307 with 13 of his 16 home runs against righties this season. He’s a great play Wednesday against Philadelphia Phillies rookie Zach Eflin (0-2, 6.28 ERA).
High Value
Kyle Seager, Mariners (3,800): Like Lamb, Seager’s righty-lefty splits are pretty radical. Seager is hitting .308 against righties, compared to just .190 against lefties this season. Seattle faces Pittsburgh Pirates right-handed rookie Jameson Taillon on Wednesday, so Seager stands out as a solid play for a reasonable price.
Adrian Beltre, Rangers (3,200): Beltre continues to be underpriced for his fantasy production. The 37-year-old veteran has hit safely in seven straight games, a stretch that also includes three games of double-digit fantasy output. He’s 2-for-3 in his career against New York Yankees righty Masahiro Tanaka (5-2, 3.01 ERA). He’s an interesting option on Wednesday.
