Five players the Chicago Bulls should target in NBA free agency 2016

The Chicago Bulls are certainly sitting in an interesting spot already in NBA free agency 2016 considering what’s already happened and the rumbles from around the league. Obviously, the first thing that comes to mind for the Bulls is the Derrick Rose trade with the New York Knicks.

Rose is now gone from the Bulls while they brought back Brook Lopez, Jose Calderon, and Jerian Grant. The Bulls also sent out Justin Holiday and a future draft pick in the deal, but it’s the personnel changes that really shake things up for Chicago.

In addition to that, there was a ton of chatter about the Bulls potentially trading Jimmy Butler throughout the night of the 2016 NBA Draft. While that chatter has died down and the front office in Chicago denies it ever took place, that’s something to have in mind for the offseason as well.

The wrinkle that not enough people are talking about when it comes to the Bulls, though, is that they are also seeing some bigger names leave their roster in free agency. Big men Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah are on their way out, as is Aaron Brooks.

So even after all of their moves, the Bulls still have plenty of work to do if they want to remain relevant in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Given that let’s take a look at five players the Bulls should target in NBA free agency 2016 to help improve their roster.
