Obviously, landing the Slim Reaper should be on the wish list of every team within the Association. this off-season.

According to ESPN and the Los Angeles Times, the Clippers are one of the six teams that Durant has granted a free agent meeting with, so there’s a 1 in 6 chance that they’ll be able to sway him toward making the move to Hollywood.

The only problem is that in order to do that, some major personnel shuffling has to occur. More than likely, that means the supremely talented, yet replaceable Griffin would need to be sent elsewhere in order to clear enough cap space and win the KD Sweepstakes.

Let’s think about this hypothetically: Pretend that the Clippers front office decides to pull the trigger on this rumored trade being discussed with the Denver Nuggets and send Griffin to the Mile High City.

That would most likely lead to Paul taking a step back from scoring and mainly directing his energy on playmaking and yelling at Jordan whenever he screws up.

As a result, the best true point guard in the NBA today consistently feeding the rock to a former MVP, 7-time all-star, and 4-time league scoring champion. A man who’s built like Lurch, has the grace of a gazelle, and possesses the second strongest combination of basketball skill and acumen out of any other player in the world.

There’s no denying that Durant and Russell Westbrook are a solid tandem, but Durant and Paul may just be the union that both players need in order to reach the golden promised land.
