Which five teams happen to be the worst fits for point guard Rajon Rondo in 2016 NBA Free Agency?

One of the top point guards in NBA free agency this summer has to be Rajon Rondo, previously of the Sacramento Kings. He signed a one-year, $9.5 million deal with the Kings last summer after spending time with Boston and Dallas in 2014-15 and will likely earn about the same amount this cycle.

The demand for point guards is relatively high as teams need that leader of the offense who can create his own shot as well as pass the ball at an elite level. Unfortunately for those looking in this year’s market, there’s not really a guy who can do both. Rondo is a pass-first point guard and teams are well aware of his capabilities.

Throughout his career, the 30-year-old point guard out of Kentucky has been one of the top passers in the league and even helped the Boston Celtics win the NBA title when Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce were in charge of scoring. He needs to join another team similar to that with multiple scoring options he can just feed the ball to.

Rondo’s best opportunities will come for teams with multiple stars who can score, likely three, and who he can feed off of. He’s a solid defender who is known for being pesky and he can bring some energy to the floor at all times.

The five teams on this list are rumored potential destinations in which he’d likely be a poor fit with. Let’s take a look at the five worst fits for free agent point guard Rajon Rondo and let us know if you agree or disagree in the comment section below.
