2. Portland Trailblazers

Last year, after losing LaMarcus Aldridge, the Blazers went as far as the San Antonio Spurs did in the playoffs. In doing that they showed that are just fine with the Damian Lillard show, and the progression of C.J. McCollum makes the Blazers big time buyers this off-season.
Last year the Blazers swapped Mo Harkless and Al-Farouq Aminu around in the role that would fit for Deng. This year Harkless is a free agent. Deng would be considered an upgrade over Harkless at this point. Even if they were looking to bring Harkless back, Allan Crabbe is another wing who is a free agent and will force the Blazers to find depth.

In Deng they can not only add depth, but they can add experience to a roster with little of it. The lack of experience showed last year in the playoffs. This was a team that pushed the Warriors pretty far, but could never close out wins, making the series look one-sided. Having someone like Deng who has been there before, and knows what to expect is important to have in the locker room throughout the season.

He is a strong fit given what is on the roster. Also, with the cap situation, the Blazers should be able to add Deng while still having the cap space to fill the roster with the depth needed to continue their success.
