When it comes to sponsorships, sometimes the relationships don’t make a lick of sense. But then, there are those partnerships that are just too good to pass on.

This is why it makes so much sense that the clothing company Perry Ellis has signed none other than — well, Perry Ellis.

Yes indeed, in an Instagram post, the Dallas Mavericks rookie revealed that he has struck the perfect sponsorship deal to get his professional career started.

I mean, come on, there was no way that this couldn’t happen when it came down to it, right? It’s literally a match made in heaven and it’ll be interesting to see where the partnership goes from here. There’s a lot of things they can do with this deal.

Ellis was a four-year star at Kansas, and because of his elder look and the time that he spent in college, was the butt of many jokes about his age. But when it came down to it, Ellis was able to get the job done on the court when he was called upon.

He unfortunately went undrafted in the recent NBA Draft, but he was quickly signed to a free agent deal by the Dallas Mavericks.
