New York Yankees

Why not the Yankees? They are known for making the big splash move to help their team win and if you’re a left-handed bat, it is likely you can hit 20 home runs in that ballpark.

The Yankees outfield currently consists of Jacoby Ellsbury, Aaron Hicks, Brett Gardner and Carlos Beltran. Aside from Beltran, no other player is contributing for this team, which sits at 24th in the league in run production.

With them likely saving money to sign reigning NL MVP Bryce Harper, the Yankees have plans for their outfield. The logical move would be to bring in Bruce to DH since he is not great defensively. With the contract of Alex Rodriguez set to expire, they will need a power hitting DH.

The Yankees are in a rebuilding phase. They sit in last place in the AL East with no sign of turning it around. They have young talent in the minors, including players like Aaron Judge and Rob Refsynder, not to mention Greg Bird, who is recovering from a torn ACL suffered before the season.

They have played their cards right so far. A year of losing is better then over paying aging free agents. If they can add Harper and their players in the farm system work out, Bruce can fit right into this lineup that relies on the long ball.
