Clemson football celebrates Coastal Carolina winning CWS (Video)

In South Carolina, the state pride runs as deep and far as Lake Marion and that’s why it was so cool to see the Clemson football team celebrate Coastal Carolina winning the College World Series.
The Palmetto State has some serious pride in their own, as evidenced by this video of Clemson’s football team losing their minds when Coastal Carolina got the final out in the College World Series.
Coastal Carolina was a Cinderella team throughout the tournament. They toppled traditional power LSU in the Super Regional round, then soundly defeated the No. 1 overall seed Florida in the first round of the College World Series.
Coastal lost to TCU and powerhouse hitter Luken Baker, but rallied to defeat Texas Tech in an elimination game to keep their season alive.

Coastal squared off against TCU needing two wins in a row to keep their national title hopes alive. They did so in dominating fashion, winning 4-1 and 7-5. This set the Chanticleers up with a best of three title bout with the Arizona Wildcats.
Coastal Carolina lost the first game to the scrappy Arizona squad 3-0 but bounced back with a 5-4 victory to force a rubber match for the CWS title.
The Chanticleers got off to a dominating start in the game, going up 4-0 in the sixth. The Wildcats were not an easy out and battled back to 4-3 in the ninth before the Chanticleers got the last strikeout.
Seeing the Clemson baseball team celebrate the Coastal Carolina team’s title is great. Without a Clemson appearance in the CWS, it makes logical sense that they’d root for the team from their home state.
