Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 30 DraftKings lineup.
Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.
As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.
High Salary
Brandon Moss, Cardinals (4,800): Moss has found a nice home in St. Louis since being traded there last season. His 16 home runs lead the team and his 38 RBIs rank fifth. He’s in a great spot to add to both of those totals on Thursday against Kansas City Royals veteran Chris Young (2-7, 6.54 ERA). Moss is 5-for-19 in his career against Young, but four of those hits are home runs.
Christian Yelich, Marlins (4,300): Yelich has seven hits over his last four games and his .314 average ranks 10th overall in the National League. He’s generally regarded as one of baseball’s best young hitters. He’s a strong play Thursday against Atlanta Braves right-hander Mike Foltynewicz (2-2, 3.51 ERA).
High Value
Corey Dickerson, Rays (3,400): Dickerson (thumb) is expected to return to the lineup Thursday, and if he does, he’s an interesting value play. Dickerson’s average (.209) won’t wow you, but he’s hit safely in four of his last five games. He’s also 2-for-3 with a home run in his career against Detroit Tigers righty Jordan Zimmermann (9-4, 3.81 ERA).
Nomar Mazara, Rangers (3,200): Mazara’s stellar rookie season continues for first-place Texas. The 21-year-old should again bat in the heart of the Rangers’ order on Thursday at Yankee Stadium. The lefty-hitting Mazara is batting an even .300 against right-handers this season, making his matchup with Michael Pineda (3-7, 5.51 ERA) an appealing one.
