Identifying the top high salary and value shortstop plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 30 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Corey Seager, Dodgers (5,200): Seager is firmly establishing himself as one of the game’s best young talents. He’s hit safely in his last 12 starts and, in particular, is having major success against right-handers this season (.310, 12 HRs). That certainly bodes well for his matchup Thursday with Milwaukee Brewers righty Zach Davies (5-3, 3.74 ERA).

Manny Machado, Orioles (4,700): Machado doesn’t have a great track record against Seattle Mariners righty Taijuan Walker (1-for-8), but he does enter play Thursday on a hot streak. He’s hit safely in nine straight games, a stretch that includes six games of double-digit fantasy-point production.

High Value

Eduardo Nunez, Twins (4,000): If Minnesota fans are looking for a silver lining to a lost 2016 season, it’s that Nunez has emerged as a solid, every-day player. His .316 average leads the team and his 11 home runs and 30 RBIs both rank second. He’s hitting .323 against southpaws this season, so he’s an intriguing play Thursday against Chicago White Sox lefty Carlos Rodon (2-6, 4.09 ERA).

Javier Baez, Cubs (3,500): Baez is best served as a GPP-only candidate, given his matchup with young New York Mets lefty Steven Matz, but he’s worth a long look. Baez is hitting .333 with a .529 slugging percentage against lefties this season. He’s also hit safely in five of his last six games, with back-to-back 20-point fantasy outings.
