2. Brooklyn Nets

If there is another team that could be a suitor for Dwight Howard, it’s the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets are in the midst of a full rebuild, but in Brooklyn, having a star on the roster is an absolute must for them.

He wouldn’t have to worry about anyone taking the spotlight and he would be able to post big numbers. The Nets would be able to move Brook Lopez and continue to add more young talent to the roster and build up their depleted assets that need a lot of work.

The Nets have the money to throw at Howard and he would have to give serious consideration to playing in Brooklyn. Sean Marks is aiming to do his best as general manager of the team and getting a star center would be a great first step.

Back when Howard was a member of the Orlando Magic and wanted out, there were rumors that he wanted to go to the Nets. He never made his way to Brooklyn, but now he has his chance and they should probably be on his watch list.

The only way this might not be an option is if the Nets decide to stick with the long rebuilding process, but that’s a tough sell to a tough fan base.
