4. Miami Heat

There’s nothing quite like a free agent meeting the legend that is Pat Riley and watching him throw down all of his championship rings on a table. When the man with the slicked-back hair speaks, free agents listen.

The Miami Heat are one of the teams that will meet with Kevin Durant in free agency this year and they will look to make him an offer that he can’t refuse. If Durant wants to be on a roster that can compete for a championship, the Heat wouldn’t be a bad spot.

They would likely get Dwyane Wade re-signed if Durant hops on board and they have a supporting cast that features Goran Dragic and potentially Chris Bosh if he can become healthy. Plus, Riley will swing a deal or two for a couple of great players. It’s in his nature to pull off big surprises.

It would be a different change of scenery for Durant playing in the Eastern Conference and it would set up some epic battles with LeBron James that everyone will want to sit down and watch.

The Heat also have some great young players in Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson to build around as well. The players and depth are there for Durant to have a title contender.
