It appears that the New York Knicks aren’t even waiting for the official beginning of free agency for news to drop. Yes, with every team on the market anxiously awaiting to strike, it appears the Knicks already have a deal in place for Joakim Noah.

According to Tim Bontemps of The Washington Post, the Knicks will sign Noah to a deal that starts at $18 million per year when free agency officially begins.

"Multiple sources have told The Washington Post that Noah will almost certainly be joining the New York Knicks after free agency begins, with a salary expected to be about $18 million per year."

It should come as absolutely no surprise that most teams have already begun probably negotiating deals with agents before they really are allowed to. It’s more common for deals like this to leak ahead of time and Noah will be reunited with Derrick Rose.

It’s another big move for the Knicks who are going all in. They acquired Rose last week from the Bulls and now their roster will consist of Noah, Rose, Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony.

If they can stay healthy, that is a good roster with the potential to get better based upon moves that they could make after the Noah signing. Free agency hasn’t even officially began yet and things are already getting wild.
