Indiana Pacers

The Pacers are in a transition stage right now for their franchise. They’re moving away from the slow defensive minded teams that have ran the franchise for the last few years, and are moving towards a more offensive minded approach, with a win now attitude. That’s why they traded away George Hill for a more offensively focused Jeff Teague, and then punted on the draft for Thaddeus Young. With Paul George and Myles Turner on the roster this is a pretty formidable rotation, but if they added Kevin Durant it goes from formidable to offensively terrifying.

Already, the idea of Durant and Paul George on the floor together should make teams shake, but add in the rest of those names and this team should be able to score on absolutely anybody. It’s not the youngest group out there, but that’s fine because the Pacers are looking to win right now and with Durant on the roster they should be able to contend for the Finals on a yearly basis. He shouldn’t have to worry too much about the team slipping, because Larry Bird is always looking to make the next move to make his team better. That’s what he’s doing right now, and that’s what he’ll do in three to four years from now. Durant is the piece that sets the Pacers up for a long period of success.
