Memphis Grizzlies

Okay so yes, Grit-n-Grind looks like it might be on its last legs. The coach was not retained and ended up in Sacramento of all places, and Memphis doesn’t exactly have a rich history of professional basketball. You know what it does have though? BBQ. Lots of it too. As someone that’s lived in both Texas and Oklahoma City it’s very likely that Kevin Durant can appreciate a pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese and collard greens on the side of it. There’s nowhere better to get that than Memphis. The Grizzlies can literally pay the man in both BBQ and millions of dollars.

He’ll also immediately become the most beloved player to ever play there after only a few years of winning, plus he’ll have Zach Randolph in his corner which is just a good way to stay safe when it comes to getting scrappy around the court. And is there a soul alive that doesn’t get along with Tony Allen? Marc Gasol’s one of the best centers in the NBA, and if Mike Conley stays then they’ll be a pretty formidable team. This is a franchise that enjoys hard work and Durant should fit in just fine. Come for the BBQ. Stay for the wins.
