Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks are one of those teams that should really get more free agents than they do. Atlanta has an incredible nightlife, the weather is warm, and they’re a franchise with a long and deep basketball history. Their days without strong ownership, or a front office they can trust, are long gone with the team being sold last year and a strong culture being put in place by Mike Budenholzer. The last two Hawks teams have been some of their most successful in the franchise’s history, and the 2015 group reached heights not even Dominique Wilkins could reach.

Paul Millsap and Al Horford are both incredible, they have a sniper kickout target in Kyle Korver, but something is missing. They just need the superstar that can pull it all together. Durant has the tools around him to succeed, a coach that will allow him to continue playing his lethal style that doesn’t require him to do absolutely everything, and on top of all that he’ll be a franchise hero. The guy that came to Atlanta when no one would, and got them where they never were able to reach before. Everybody love’s redemption stories and Atlanta is in dire need of one. Durant can be the guy that delivers it.
