The Sixers are done with tanking. They’re done with The Process. All they care about right now is winning games and building a new culture. Durant can be the first piece of that new culture, and it will all be built around him. If the process got Philly one thing it’s a ton of assets that they can move for talent to put around Durant, and once he’s got that in place it’ll be smooth sailing on the way to titles. The Colangelo’s helped build the 7 Seconds Or Less Suns, and with as much young talent the Sixers have on their roster they probably have some good ideas for what they want to do in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia is one of the NBA’s most iconic franchises with all time greats like Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, Moses Malone, and Julius Erving. Imagine the name Kevin Durant being used in the same sentence as those four. Durant can do just that by signing with Philadelphia, and then he can cement his status as an NBA legend by delivering another NBA title to the city of Philadelphia. The Sixers deserve to be among the NBA’s elite again, but they need Kevin Durant to do it.
