Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn needs something nice to happen to them for once. They went from Jay-Z sitting courtside and being seen as a possible contender against LeBron James in the East to a whole bunch of yuck, but you know what? Everything that has gone wrong for Brooklyn was because they tried too hard. While other teams like the Lakers and Sixers were out there tanking the Nets were trying to win games. They went for the playoffs, and they risked their future to try and run at a title as soon as possible. That takes guts and it backfired.

For a guy as competitive as Durant that’s the exact type of environment he’ll like to be in. A franchise that puts winning first and wants it just as bad as anybody else. On top of that, with the roster pretty much cleaned out from the previous regime he’ll be able to form it exactly how it wants. Brooklyn Nets? More like Brooklyn Durants. Their owner is a billionaire that will willingly throw many at any player he wants, and that’ll be much easier to do with Durant in town. Be the guy that goes to Brooklyn instead of New York, L.A., or Chicago. Instead of joining another superstar Durant can bring them with him to Brooklyn, and set a precedent that other stars are too scared to set. Maybe Jay-Z will even let him feature on a song.
