After Matthew Dellavedova came to an agreement with the Bucks, LeBron James was one of the first to congratulate him

The first day of NBA Free Agency has been about as wild as we all assumed that it would be under the new salary cap, with smaller name stars making some serious coin. One of the players that will be getting paid is former Cleveland Cavaliers guard and NBA Champion Matthew Dellavedova.

On Friday the news came through that Dellavedova and the Milwaukee Bucks came to an agreement on a four-year deal worth $38 million. Of course, as a restricted free agent, the Cavaliers have the chance to match the offer sheet — a move they probably won’t make, meaning that Delly is heading off to Milwaukee.

Before he does officially sign the new deal, though, one of the first people to personally congratulate him was none other than teammate LeBron James, also sort of giving away the fact that there’s no way the Cavaliers will be matching the offer.

Class move by LeBron there, who really did take a liking to having Dellavedova on the court with him the past few seasons. The King loved the enthusiasm that Delly brought to every game when he was out there, and there’s no doubt that he’ll miss having him as a teammate. Now, he’ll have to look forward to playing against his buddy.

At least, though, LeBron knows to get out of the way when there’s a loose ball on the floor.
