NBA Free Agency 2016: Minnesota interested in Pau Gasol
According to a report, the Minnesota Timberwolves and a couple of other teams are interested in free agent big man Pau Gasol.

Free agency in the NBA has been wild on its first day and teams are not done yet throwing money at players to come play for their teams. While only a few of the big names have signed, there is still plenty of great talent available for teams to sign.
One player that has yet to find a new home but is generating plenty of interest is Pau Gasol. The veteran big man has a chance to cash in big time with a new deal and with the money that has already been paid out in free agency, he’s likely going to be a very rich individual soon.
It looks like a list of suitors is lining up for him. According to Chris Broussard, the Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs are interested in his services.

None of these teams should come as any surprise. San Antonio could use a veteran big man as they chase a championship and the Trail Blazers are trying to take the next step in the Western Conference.
What is interesting is the Minnesota Timberwolves. The connection is there with Tom Thibodeau and Gasol would certainly be a great mentor for a young Timberwolves team that is on the verge of doing some very big things soon.
He could be a great mentor and a good player for their team and maybe help lift them to their first playoff berth in some time.
