Bradley Beal is about to be paid a lot of money to remain with the Washington Wizards for the next four seasons.

After the NBA Free Agency period began at 12:00 AM ET on Friday, teams immediately began throwing around money to players who were available to sign. Most notably, DeMar DeRozan agreed to stay with the Toronto Raptors and Nic Batum received a max deal to stay with the Charlotte Hornets.

Another player set to get a big payday is Bradley Beal. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Washington Wizards are going to pay Beal five years, $128 million to remain with the team.

Bradley Beal staying with the Wizards doesn’t come as a big surprise. He has become a mainstay of the team for the past four years, forming a formidable backcourt with star point guard John Wall. Beal has averaged 17.6 PPG on 42-percent shooting during this time. The former Florida Gator is also coming off a career-high season in PPG at 17.4 and in shooting percentage at 44-percent.

The Wizards haven’t been tied to too many other free agents in the early part of this period. However, with plenty of time to go, they could be in the market for other players to help them get back into the NBA Playoffs.
