Evan Turner is being looked at by multiple teams as NBA free agency is set to begin.
Evan Turner was highly regarded coming out of the 2010 NBA Draft, and while he hasn’t developed into a star player, a sixth or seventh man role for him has worked. Turner found his niche with the Boston Celtics in 2015-16, averaging 10.5 PPG, 4.9 RPG, and 4.4 APG off the bench.
As a free agent, multiple teams are looking to bring Turner in to play a similar role. According to Sean Deveney of Sporting News, the Lakers, Mavericks, Grizzlies, Bulls, Knicks and Pelicans are interested in this Ohio State alumnus. He is currently in Los Angeles.

All these teams have openings at the wing position or have plenty of cap space. While Turner shouldn’t command a big contract, a possible bidding war could be in place. Plus, with the cap rising, maybe Turner receives a bigger contract than expected.
The six-year pro would be an interesting fit with the Knicks. They are set to lose Arron Afflalo in free agency, and while Turner isn’t much of a shooter, he could be a useful part of their rotation at the wing position. They could then add an outside shooter.
The Mavs have a ton of cap space available as well, so they could make sense here too.
With so many teams interested in Evan Turner, it may be a day or two before he is signed.
