The Memphis Grizzlies will apparently be the winners in the sweepstakes for sharpshooter Chandler Parsons
There are a lot of lucrative names up for grabs as NBA Free Agency began on Friday, but apparently another name will be coming off the board. And that name is none other than Chandler Parsons.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Parsons is set to accept a max deal from the Memphis Grizzlies. The deal reportedly is for four years and $94 million.

In addition to the Grizzlies, another popular suitor for the services of Parsons was the Portland Trail Blazers, whom he also met with. However, it looks like he liked what the Grizzlies had to offer just a little bit more.
Parsons had spent the last few seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, but they made it abundantly clear that they had no intentions of offering the star a max deal, and with the climate of this free agency period this season, it really was a no-brainer for him to leave that chapter of his career behind him and find somewhere else to play — a place that will pay him the top dollar that he wanted, and apparently got from the Grizzlies.
All things considered, maybe not a bad move for both parties as Parsons is joining a perennial playoff team and he brings to the table a shooter that they have needed at times. So, the chances of this marriage working out are actually pretty good.
We’ll see beginning this season in Memphis.
