Jeremy Lin will be a highly sought-after point guard in free agency
While the “Linsanity” days of Jeremy Lin have come and passed, he now seems to be more famous for his hair styles than his play in the NBA. At this point it is starting to feel like Lin is being a bit underrated.
Sure, this is not, nor will ever be the Lin that had people making the case to be a starting point guard. However, this is a strong backup point guard with experience to perform in that role off of the bench. Last year, his signing in Charlotte proved to be a strong fit. He was able to backup Kemba Walker, he provided 11 points per game, and he was providing a defensive spark.
Now as he enters free agency, he will have a few different suitors who saw him Charlotte and want that depth and experience on their roster.
While Lin may be popular, he will have to watch his decision making here. When he signed to the Lakers, on paper it was the Lin-show back to a big market. The moment was there for Lin and he did not take it. He got lost in the light of Kobe Bryant, and struggled to adapt to a poor roster.
That said, he needs to find the right fit to play to his abilities. It would be best for him to be on a team where the pressure to perform is not on him. A bench spot would be preferred. If he is able to find a fit like that he will be able to continue to get his name out there without the wild hair phases.
That said, here are the five best fits for Jeremy Lin.
