Kevin Durant is this season’s biggest free agent, and even though he is signed with Jay’Z’s Roc Nation Sports label, he declined the rappers offer to meet with NY teams.

Kevin Durant is currently in the Hamptons meeting with teams who would like his services for this upcoming NBA season. After meeting with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, Durant met with the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors on Saturday. While he was “blown away” by the Clippers’ pitch, many believe he is likely to return to OKC for one more run at a championship.

Two teams he will not be meeting with are the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks, two New York teams that could certainly use a player like Kevin Durant in their starting lineups.

Durant is a member of the Roc Nation Sports label, a sports agency owned by New York native Jay-Z, and he is arguably the biggest client they have. Jay-Z made a push for Durant to meet with the NBA’s New York teams, but he was shot down.

According to Yahoo Sports reporter Adrian Wojnarowski on The Vertical’s free agency show Friday, Durant declined Jay-Z’s offer to set up meetings with the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks.

The Knicks have been very busy already this off-season, trading for Derrick Rose and agreeing on a free agent deal with Joakim Noah. The Nets agreed to a three-year deal with former Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin on Saturday, bring back “Linsanity” to the New York area.

Durant has played his entire career with the Thunder organization, who were the Seattle Supersonics when they drafted him with the second overall selection in the 2007 NBA Draft. He is a seven-time All-Star, and was the 2014 NBA Most Valuable Player.
