The NBA is beginning to strongly consider moving the All-Star game if the anti-LGBT laws aren’t nixed.

People like to turn to sports to escape the realities of life, but sometimes those two worlds collide. That’s what is happening in Charlotte, as the controversial HB2 bill which blatantly discriminates against the LGBT community continues to kick up dust with anyone still in possession of a conscience.

The NBA and Adam Silver are among those against the discriminatory bill, which directly conflicts with hosting the 2016-17 All-Star Game at the home of the Hornets.

According to Hornets beat writer Rick Bonnell, if the NBA does decide to pull the plug on having the All-Star Game in Charlotte, then Orlando could get the nod.

This doesn’t mean that the All-Star Game is indeed going to be moving to Orlando for this upcoming season but the chances are pretty good if North Carolina doesn’t figure itself out.

You also can’t overlook the power of this move. It’s not just moving the All-Star Game from Charlotte to Orlando, it’s moving the game from a state where anti-LGBT walls are being set up to a place where the LGBT community is all inclusive.

Nothing is official yet, but it’s starting to sound like the NBA isn’t going to be a part of something that discriminates against people who just want to live their lives.
