How to watch Stage 1 of the 2016 Tour de France online

The Tour de France is one of the biggest sporting events in the world and for good reason. It’s the ultimate test of strategy, endurance, skill, and so much more when it comes to cycling. You simply can’t just master one aspect of the sport and expect to compete in the Tour de France—you have to be adept at all areas of the sport. And on Saturday, the 2016 Tour de France got underway with Stage 1.

Stage 1 on Saturday morning will be a nice way to get into the grueling race as the competitors will travel 188 km and will be riding from Mont Saint-Michel to Utah Beach, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont. The question is whether or not one of the heavy favorites like Chris Froome is going to come alive early or if it will be someone else wearing the yellow jersey right out of the gate.

This opening Stage 1 of the 2016 Tour de France will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network. That means that live streaming will be available through NBC Sports Gold, which can be accessed merely by logging in either online or through the Live Extra app using a cable or satellite subscription.
