Julian Edelman joins Kevin Durant to Boston campaign
By Hunter Cooke
Boston is bringing out all of its superstars to try and woo Kevin Durant to the Celtics.
Kevin Durant is the hottest free agent in the entire NBA, so it would make sense that teams are pulling out all of the stops to acquire his services. Boston has used Tom Brady and David Ortiz in their i-person pitches to Durant, and many other Boston sports personalities are voicing their support.
The latest Bostonian to petition Kevin Durant is Julian Edelman, the New England Patriots slot wide receiver.

Edelman donned a shamrock green #35 jersey in his tweet to Durant, presumably to show him how much better Durant would look in the Celtics’ colors.
Durant is reportedly leaning toward signing with the Golden State Warriors, but that hasn’t stopped Boston from coming out in full force, trying to secure their best summer since the signing of Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. Durant would join former Atlanta Hawks center Al Horford in Boston as the Celtics make use of their ridiculous amount of cap space.
Kevin Durant led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a spot in the Western Conference Finals, where they fell to the Golden State Warriors 4-3 after leading 3-1, mirroring the Warriors and Cavaliers series in the finals. If Durant decides to sign a one-year contract with the Thunder, he and co-star Russell Westbrook would both head to free agency together. There are many options that Durant has, but Boston seems to be the city that wants him the most.
