What time will Kevin Durant be making his free agent decision on July 4, a decision that many teams are waiting to hear?

On July 4, free agent forward Kevin Durant will be making the decision that the entire NBA has been waiting for — he will decide where he will go in free agency. Durant originally met with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs, and the Golden State Warriors. The decision, which he will announce via the Players’ Tribune, could happen at any point during July 4, as there has not been an official time set just yet for the announcement. Although, you might imagine that he drops it a little earlier on the holiday.

He has reportedly narrowed his choices down to either the Thunder or the Warriors, which is a very tough decision. Whichever team he chooses, the entire NBA offseason should be thrown into chaos because of it. All of a sudden, three teams that were holding off on huge signings will be desperately looking to add talent. The Celtics have the cap space to make another significant acquisition or two. Meanwhile, the Clippers have the assets necessary to make a huge trade.

It will be a tough decision for Durant. Does he stay with the Thunder, a franchise he helped rebuild from the ground up with teammate Russell Westbrook? Oklahoma City has fallen in love with him over the years and the feeling is mutual.

Or does he go for a title and sign with the Warriors? Durant will have to weigh both options because there is no wrong decision here. Just one that’s a little more right than another.
