3. A chance to add onto his legacy

If Wade were to take less to go to Cleveland to finish out his career, his three NBA Championships and five trips to the NBA Finals would allow him to add even further on to his legacy.

With the state of the Eastern Conference currently, Wade would certainly have a fantastic chance at going to more NBA Finals and adding that to his resume. He would also have a great shot at winning another title and while winning three has put him in an exclusive club, winning a fourth or fifth would put him in a tier that is reserved for only the highest of legends.

Choosing a place like Cleveland shows that it’s not just about the money for Wade and about staying at home. It shows that he really wants to add to his legacy and raise his status in NBA history.

He’s already going to go down as one of the legends of the game for all of the great things that he has done in his career, but he still has gas left in the tank and wants to take it to empty and finish his legacy off there.

If he could squeeze out one more championship by going to the Cavaliers, then Wade would further ascend up the list of the greatest of all time.
