Comedian Frank Caliendo has immortalized the words of Kevin Durant by reading them in the voice of Morgan Freeman.

Kevin Durant shocked the basketball world by agreeing to a deal with the Golden State Warriors Monday afternoon. He joins the Warriors after losing to them in this year’s Western Conference Finals, drawing some criticism from other players throughout the NBA.

The decision was announced via a post on The Players’ Tribune, where Durant wrote a short piece saying where he was headed and how he will always be grateful to the Oklahoma City Thunder organization for him time there.

Fans in Oklahoma City now have to deal with similar emotions to what Cleveland Cavaliers fans felt when LeBron James left to join the Miami Heat in 2010.

While fans in Oklahoma City try to salvage the rest of this Independence Day, there is always comedy to remedy the bad vibes.

Comedian Frank Caliendo decided to put his own spin on the Durant departure by reading Durant’s letter in a voice that should comfort even the angriest fan.

Caliendo brings Durant’s words to life in the voice of Morgan Freeman. The sting of him leaving is only made worse through the emotional, slow speaking style of the great Morgan Freeman.

The only question is why that blue smurf has such a sinister look on its face as it stares straight into the camera and right into the souls of Thunder fans.

Thunder fans have several months to brood over Durant’s decision to leave, with his letter serving as a visible reminder he decided to join the team who just beat him and the entire city in the Western Conference Finals.

The only solace in the situation can be found by capping the emotions for a few minutes and being entertained by the vocal stylings of Frank Caliendo, because things are going to be much different for Thunder fans during next season.
