WWE’s Rusev comments on Kevin Durant signing with Warriors
WWE star Rusev gave his unique input on Kevin Durant leaving the Thunder to sign with the Warriors.
Independence Day has been taken over by Kevin Durant leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder to sign with the Golden State Warriors. It’s an unprecedented move, as he’s joining the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. This team also won 73 games without Durant in 2015-16, so the prospect of these four playing together is scary.
Then, there is Rusev, the WWE United States Champion. He is known for his interesting Twitter takes, and this one on Durant signing with the Warriors is very telling.
Rusev is saying Durant is not a leader, which is something that has been argued throughout his time with the Thunder. People wondered if it was his team or Russell Westbrook’s squad. Could this signing be telling of something?
However, Durant just chose to play with a two-time NBA MVP, a top shooting guard and a team that has made it to back to back NBA Finals. While KD has come close with the Thunder, the Warriors have been closer these past few years. Did he do this for a quicker route to finally getting a title?
Well, with Raw taking place on Monday night, maybe Rusev will find a way to give his thoughts in person.
