Lane Kiffin is exactly the same on Twitter as he is in real life: delightfully unapologetic and unfiltered.
Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is one of the best follows on Twitter. When he’s not tweeting bitmoji cartoons of himself dabbing or being tired after a long day, he’s likely trolling his rivals or teams that he’s beaten.
Tuesday, Lane Kiffin took his trolling to his old stomping grounds, Tennessee, taking a picture of a Tennessee license plate with “Knox”, the middle name of his son, emblazoned on it.

Kiffin rarely misses an opportunity to take shots at the University of Tennessee, his former employer. Kiffin left Tennessee after just one season with the Volunteers, causing actual riots among the fan base. When asked to describe the Kiffin tenure at Tennessee, athletic director Mike Hamilton only used one word: “Brief”.
The current Alabama offensive coordinator bolted for USC, where he spent four years until he was fired in the middle of the 2013 season due to on field performance. Kiffin simply didn’t have what it took to win as a head coach, so he took as position as the offensive coordinator at Alabama under Nick Saban. In two years Kiffin has revitalized the Crimson Tide’s offense, gaining a national championship last year and a trip to the inaugural College Football Playoff in 2015.
Kiffin isn’t new to sniping on Twitter, and this definitely won’t be the last time he takes a shot at someone. The subtlety of his son’s middle name is a great added twist in a running joke for Kiffin. For Tennessee fans, it can’t be fun having the guy that essentially tore your program down winning titles with a rival.
