Dwyane Wade is the ultimate team player

Dwyane Wade spent 13 years in Miami. He helped bring them three titles. He was in multiple All-Star games. In Wade’s career, the Heat only missed the playoffs twice. He’s the Heat’s all-time scoring leader, and has been on numerous all-NBA teams.

He’s never been the highest paid player on the Heat’s roster.

Of course, the Heat’s rosters over the years have included players like Shaq and LeBron, but even in years where he was the clear leader of the team, he’s never been the highest paid. Yes, he left the Heat over a contract dispute, but the Heat literally tried to sign him to half of what he made this season. He’s never been one to take more money than what he’s worth, and that is a pretty good indication of his mentality on the court. Wade understands that he can’t lead a team to victory by himself, and will use every single piece on the court to his disposal
