Harry Redknapp

According to Sky Sports readers,Ā they think that the 69-year-old should be the next England manager. He was in line to replace Fabio Capello back in 2012, but Roy Hodgson stepped in instead. Redknapp spent the last couple months with the Jordan national team and has guided them to a 2-2 record and lost to Thailand in the King’s Cup Final.

Redknapp would be a good choice to be the next manager, thanks to his vast experience, and people have brought the idea that he would be a very good choice to help a younger manager ease into the role. Redknapp would serve as a manager or even a co-manager (similar to what Iceland have) and Redknapp would tutor that coach so he can easily step in when ready.

Jim White, an English sports broadcaster, thinks that Redknapp could link up with former England manager Glenn Hoddle.

Redknapp has had success in the past. He led Portsmouth to a FA Cup win 2008 and brought Tottenham Hotspurs to the Champions League semi-finals in 2011. He also won the Premier League Manager of the Year award in 2009.

Redknapp could help give this England team a shake up and motivate them to win, something that they lacked a lot in their loss to Iceland.
