Identifying the top high salary and value catcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 6 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Brian McCann, Yankees (4,300): McCann is on a nice little run, having hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games. That stretch includes five home runs and eight RBIs. Look for McCann to keep it going Wednesday against Chicago White Sox right-hander Miguel Gonzalez (1-4, 4.88 ERA). McCann is 4-for-14 with a pair of home runs against Gonzalez in his career.

Buster Posey, Giants (4,200): Whether in Coors Field or AT&T Park, Posey is always a solid play against left-hander Jorge De La Rosa (5-5, 5.98 ERA). This particular series is being played in California, so Posey is not quite as attractive an option as he would be in Colorado. But remember that Posey is 10-for-36 with four doubles, a home run and eight RBIs against De La Rosa.

High Value

Russell Martin, Blue Jays (3,200): Martin’s numbers have been down across the board this season, but he still gets to hit in the heart of the one of baseball’s most dangerous lineups. That alone makes for serious fantasy value. Toronto should be able to do some damage against Kansas City Royals starter Ian Kennedy (6-7, 4.04 ERA) at home on Wednesday, making Martin a viable play.

Sandy Leon, Red Sox (2,000): Leon is quickly making Boston fans forget about Christian Vazquez and Blake Swihart. Leon is 7-for-14 with three doubles and three RBIs in four games in July. Make sure he’s in the lineup Wednesday before adding him to your roster, but if he is, you won’t find a better value at DraftKings’ minimum price.
