Identifying the top high salary and value third baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 6 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Jake Lamb, Diamondbacks (5,400): The 25-year-old Lamb has emerged as one of the top fantasy options at third base, if not any position, this season. He leads Arizona in home runs (19) and RBIs (59), both ahead of All-Star teammate Paul Goldschmidt. He’s hitting an impressive .317 against right-handers, making him an easy play Wednesday against San Diego Padres righty Colin Rea (5-3, 4.79 ERA).

Josh Donaldson, Blue Jays (5,200): Donaldson is clearly making his push to repeat as American League MVP. The 30-year-old third baseman has hit safely in 13 of his last 14 games, a stretch that includes five home runs and seven games of double-digit DK points. He’s simply been a monster at home this season, hitting .338 (compared to .272 on the road). Start Donaldson with confidence Wednesday against Ian Kennedy (6-7, 4.04 ERA).

High Value

Todd Frazier, White Sox (3,800): Frazier is very much an all-or-nothing proposition, so he’s better served for GPPs. His 23 home runs are tied for third in the majors behind Kris Bryant (25) and Mark Trumbo (24). Despite his .210 average, Frazier has hit safely in six of his last seven games. He’s an interesting option Wednesday against New York Yankees right-hander Michael Pineda (3-7, 5.24 ERA).

Tommy La Stella, Cubs (3,200): La Stella will rejoin the Cubs Wednesday after a stint on the disabled list, and he should return to the starting lineup immediately. La Stella’s value comes from getting on base and scoring runs in Chicago’s potent offense, and he should be able to do that against Cincinnati Reds righty Anthony DeSclafani (2-0, 1.78 ERA).
