It’s a nice split schedule of Major League Baseball today with seven games in the afternoon and eight games under the lights tonight.  For my FanDuel daily picks today, I’ll be focusing on the 16 teams scheduled to be in action tonight which make up the “Main” competition on FanDuel.

The Main competition locks tonight at 7:07 when the Blue Jays and Royals get started up in Toronto. Two more games start at 7:10 as the Rays host the Angels in Tampa and the Red Sox host the Rangers in Boston.  There are three games in the 8:00 window featuring the Yankees in Chicago, the Mariners in Houston, and the Pirates in St. Louis for a divisional clash.  We close out the evening with a pair of games from the NL West as the Padres face the D-Backs in the desert and the Rockies play the Giants in San Francisco.

As we continue moving to the All Star break, make sure to stay tuned to all our fantasy baseball coverage here at FanSided.  My FanDuel daily picks will continue to be posted most mornings throughout the next few months. My daily picks are designed to provide you the information you need to build your own lineup that can bring home a win for your team. In order to help you find the position and price-point that you need, there are a variety of options on each slide with high-salary options, mid-range options, and high-value options at each position.

More from Boston Red Sox

For starting pitchers and outfielders, I’ve separated my picks into high-salary and high-value options on separate slides while the other positions each get one slide per position with multiple pricing options. I base each of my picks on the current form of each player and the matchups each player will face in tonight’s contest game.

I’ve found it very helpful to rank my picks to show the strength of each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a points-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the my most confident picks into my lineups for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.

In my FanDuel daily picks, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on the fantasy baseball hub.
