Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Louis Murphy has quite the story after getting locked inside a museum following his friend’s wedding.

For many people, weddings are great fodder for new stories. Some people enjoy the food, some the dancing and others the open bar. But one NFL receiver took the wedding story to a whole new level this past weekend.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Louis Murphy was at a museum in West Palm Beach to attend the wedding of a former Florida Gators teammate. When the festivities ended, Murphy had fallen asleep. As he woke up in the early hours of the morning, he found himself locked inside the museum, according to Sports Illustrated:

"“This was really just a series of small unfortunate circumstances,” Murphy said in a statement to the Tampa Bay Times. “With no one around, my only option was to break a small glass pane of the door in order to access a phone and call for help. I dialed the police and explained that I needed assistance. It’s unfortunate that I needed to break the glass, but the police officers on the scene and museum staff acknowledged that I didn’t have many other options. I’m working with the museum to ensure everything is properly handled.”"

Murphy has agreed to pay $1,000 to repair the door and will not be charged for the damage or for being inside the museum after hours.

The question is this: did Murphy’s friends leave him behind as a joke, or did people honestly not realize he was passed out in the middle of a museum? I’m not sure which one is actually worse.
