Andy Murray advances to the Wimbledon Final after defeating Tomas Berdych in straight sets in the semifinal.

Andy Murray beat Tomas Berdych 6-3, 6-3, and 6-3 to advance to his first Wimbledon Final for Murray for the third time and the first time since he won it all in 2014. This is the third Grand Slam Final for Murray this year as he looks to seal the deal on Sunday after defeating Tomas Berdych in straight sets.

Murray lost to Novak Djokovic in the French and Australian Open Finals, but as he advances to his 11th Grand Slam overall, he’ll look to prevent Canadian Milos Raonic from becoming the first Canadian to win a Grand Slam title.

Raonic defeated Roger Federer in the first semifinal before Murray dispatched Berdych.

No. 2 Murray stands a great chance considering his career record is 9-0 in Grand Slam finals against players who haven’t been the No. 1 ranked player in the world. Murray has famously struggled against Federer and Djokovic and holds a career record of 4-17 vs. those two all-time greats in the semifinals and finals of Grand Slam events.

And it would be harder to find a better performance from Murray in a semifinal than what he did today. Murray won in straight sets for the first time in a Grand Slam semifinal and only committed nine unforced errors.

If Murray is successful on Sunday in beating Raonic to win Wimbledon, he will join Fred Perry as the only British men to win Wimbledon multiple times since 1922.
