With teams having finished up most of their free agency already, players that haven’t signed will begin signing smaller deals and some players that are older will look to jump on with a championship contender.
It looks like their could be yet another Miami Heat reunion in Cleveland. On NBA TV, Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue said that the Cavaliers had signed free agent center Chris Andersen.
While he said they signed them, Chris B. Haynes is reporting that it officially isn’t a done deal yet. However, the sides are expected to strike a deal.
It makes sense for the Cavaliers to add another center after they lost Timofey Mozgov in free agency. Andersen probably won’t have the same impact and is probably there for chemistry reasons, but he showed with Miami and the Memphis Grizzlies last year that he could still provide minutes.
It’s yet another LeBron James connection coming to fruition in Cleveland with Chris Andersen coming aboard, as the Cavaliers will chase another NBA Championship to add to their hardware.
