The Brooklyn Nets have been busy this free agency period, as they try to stay relevant in the Eastern Conference. On Thursday, they signed Allen Crabbe to a four-year offer sheet.
Allen Crabbe put together a nice season for the Portland Trailblazers, appearing in a career high 81 games, mostly off the bench. Coming into the 2015-16 season, Crabbe was used sparingly in his first two seasons in the NBA, appearing in only 66 games in the two years combined.
Last season, he was a huge part of the Trailblazers bench, scoring over ten points per game. It was a breakout season for Crabbe, who averaged only 3.3 points the year before. The added minutes showcased his talents, and on Thursday, got him paid.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, Crabbe signed a four-year, $75 million dollar offer sheet with the Brooklyn Nets, which could hit $83 million with bonuses.

Because he is a restricted free agent, the Trailblazers will have three days to match the offer, which according to sources, includes a player option for the fourth year and a trade kicker.

The Nets have made some interesting moves this off-season, signing big men Trevor Booker and Justin Hamilton. They also offered Miami Heat guard Tyler Johnson a $50 million dollar guaranteed contract, but their biggest move was for their point guard.
Brooklyn brought back “Linsanity” to the Big Apple, signing Jeremy Lin to a three-year, $36 million dollar deal. He will move into the vacant starting point guard spot left open when the team released Jarrett Jack.
Crabbe would be a nice piece for the Nets, as he has the size and skill set to be a nice scorer in their offense. The team will have to wait and see what Portland does, but the Nets have definitely upgraded their backcourt this season.
