Phil Jackson expects Brandon Jennings to be sixth man of the year.

With the New York Knicks making significant off-season moves in recent weeks, they will have high expectations for next season. In recent weeks, the New York Knicks have traded for Derrick Rose and have signed deals with Joakim Noah, Courtney Lee and Brandon Jennings.

There most recent signee, Brandon Jennings, expects to come in and back up former Chicago Bull point guard Derrick Rose. With Rose’s highly injured past, Brandon Jennings may be thrusts into the starting lineup sooner rather later.

Though the hope for Phil Jackson and the Knicks is that Derrick Rose will have a breakout season that is free from injury. With Rose expected to be fully healthy, Phil Jackson has high expectations for Brandon Jennings from off of the bench.

Brandon Jennings said Phil Jackson told him he expects Jennings to be the Sixth Man of the Year. This is a lofty expectation for a guy that’s coming off an underwhelming season in which he only averaged nearly 7 points and 4 assists.

Though in complete Brandon Jennings’ fashion, he says he confident that Jackson’s projection will come to fruition. Brandon Jennings has never been a player short on confidence. As his game has dwindled in recent years, his confidence still remains sky high.

If everything works out for the New York Knicks this season, expect them to return to the playoffs for the first time in 4 seasons and for Phil Jackson’s own sake, Brandon Jennings will win Sixth Man of the Year.
